The OCMH does not offer stipends at this time; however, our institution is happy to work with students who are applying through their accredited college or university to obtain credit for this unique experiential learning opportunity. The OCMH is a 19th century National Historic Landmark built by and for the utopian socialist Oneida Community in central New York State. OCMH comprises 93,000 square feet of interior space sited on over 200 acres of landscaped grounds. The Mansion House includes exhibits, period rooms, a library, and continues to provide lodging and residential housing. OCMH conducts programming and sponsors research on 19th and early 20th century society and themes, such as communitarianism, gender, class, childhood, agriculture, industrialization, artistic expression, and craft work.
